My Story
I lived in three different places in Philadelphia, but I also visited California where my uncle lives. They are Lansdowne Ave, Chinatown, and now in Roxborough. Lansdowne Ave is where my aunt lives, she had a restaurant there along with my uncle and their son. I lived there for about three years and made many friends that cared and loved my sister and I. We are close friends and during weekends we usually played together in a park nearby. The school that I went to is called Cassidy. I had no idea why my parents decided to move one day. It was end of April into May plus me and my sister's graduation month is just around the corner! So we lost our chance of graduating. It was on Monday when they told us the news, my reaction was standing there frozen like a statue.
My parents explained to us about what happened. Their voice kept calm but my mind was concentrating on something else. Something more important. My friends. My parents told us that this was our last week at our old school. My brain was buzzing with anger and frustration when I was walking to school. When I told my friends at school that I am moving, silence fell. The only noises heard was a pin drop from miles away. Some of our friends cried and some give us a squeeze and told us that we were be able to keep in touch. So on Friday we had a party, toast and our friends signed their name and leaved phone numbers. We hugged others for the last time and we left.
Next stop is Chinatown, we lived there for about several months. Due to the fact that I dislike the area and the school that I attended called Spring Garden. I told my mom and she decided that we should move again due to the horrible area.
My mom chose the right place, Roxborough. In Roxborough, there are many interesting places that you can visit. There are many caring peoples that are willing to help you if you have problems. The exciting thing is the apartment that I lived in now is close to the restaurant that she worked in called New Ruby. So if she needed help or we had nothing to do, we can just walk across the street and see her or give her a helping hand. The best part is this 2013 summer I get to spent more time with my mom and been to different but fun places that you would never thought of!
